The work of The Friendship Circle has inspired me ever since my three children Matthew, Adam and Jessica volunteered during high school becoming friends one on one with a child with special needs. Whenever I visit the Friendship Circle I can see these unique friendships with all the volunteers and the remarkable bonds that are forged between the children with special needs and their new friends. These friendships make a child with special needs feel included and loved and it’s exhilarating to see the thrill in these children when they’re with their teenaged friends. The volunteer's commitment and willingness to give of their time strengthens their understanding of how important it is to be responsible and help those that are in need. A lot of life’s lessons are learned here by these volunteers. This is a complete win win for all!
