Liliya always used to say:

“I can't walk and I use a wheelchair. I don't have brothers and sisters. But I have Friendship Circle, which is my second home! I have my beloved volunteers, my sisters, who have been with me almost 17 years!

I don't define myself as someone with special needs, because everyone at Friendship Circle sees the best in me. For the past 17 years they have lifted me up and up and up. Today I feel that I can do anything!

Everything is possible with my darling sisters - volunteers who visit me every week and have a great time with me. We play, dance, love each other and celebrate together.
At Friendship Circle we always talk about giving - every day, every minute we must think about what kind of gift we can share, and by giving, we will never be unhappy.

I am raising money to help give back to Friendship Circle. To thank my 'family' for the love they have doled out so open-heartedly, the constant belief the have shown in the many opportunities and me they have provided me with. I am raising money so many others can share these experiences.
Please be a part of Walk4Friendship and help to make a difference!”

My daughter Liliya Bromberg passed away on July 9th. For the last 18 months Liliya battled a very rare form of the liver cancer.

During this difficult time we had tremendous help from Friendship Circle. Bassie, Levi, Tzvi and Sarah made heroic efforts to find the best treatments for Liliya raised money for a fairy tale apartment, and kept her busy with amazing volunteers.

They managed to find us the best doctors who were willing to stay with Liliya until the end. The Friendship Circle family loved her like their own child and helped take care of her at hospitals and at home.

On June 15 Bassie invited Liliya for a wonderful trip up north to Mackinac Island. Liliya had the opportunity to ride horses and boats; she enjoyed her stay at Mission Point Resort and the very special air of Mackinac.

On May 29 Friendship Circle gave Liliya a very special Disney Day. Cinderella visited, Liliya was taken for a horse and carriage ride, she watched musical concerts, a magic show, a skateboard and bike show and an acrobatic performance. For a special surprise Friendship Circle brought one of Liliya’s best friends from New York Ari Adlerstein, of Kids of Courage.

Please make a donation to Friendship Circle so they can continue to help those who need it most.
With much gratitude,
Tonya Bromberg
